Fatigue evaluation using electromyography
Mošnerová, Jitka ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is the design and implementation of methods for detecting fatigue in electromyogram (EMG). At first is done a literature review on the topic of fatigue detection in electromyography (EMG). Measurement of fatigue-induced changes in the EMG signal is performed on ten subjects using the Biopac ©. Next is in the thesis solved the selection of the optimal methods of evaluating the fatigue-induced changes in EMG recording using statistical testing. In the final part of the thesis is discussion on the results of statistical testing, creation a user interface in Matlab © and comprehensive instructions for laboratory focused on the topic of fatigue in the EMG signal.
Control of low-cost prosthetic limb using EMG sensors
Šafran, Jindřich ; Brablc, Martin (referee) ; Rajchl, Matej (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis is about the general design, construction and model assembling of the prosthetic arm. Its programming and controlling of the robotic part are also included. The thesis is divided into five chapters. In the first chapter, the anatomy of forearm is analysed and described. Its anatomical structure is the theoretical base on which the final model is designed and constructed. Following, second chapter, comprises the analysis of prosthetic mechanisms according to the historical development up until today. And this chapter also contains the production of the designed forearm-hand-model itself. The third chapter describes the EMG diagnostic method and the process of manufacturing of each compartment of controller device used for controlling the mechanism of the designed model. Next, chapter number four contains gaining and processing of the data from testing of the measuring device. In the last fifth chapter, the programming of the made forearm-hand-model in various development environments is described. All the results and gained knowledge, are evaluated and described in the conclusion of the Bachelor thesis.
Measurement of EMG and consideration of physical load
Szöllösi, Tomáš ; Kolář, Radim (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
The task of this thesis was focused on influence of physical load on electrical activity of muscle. There are basic principals and terms from the problematic of measuring electric activity of muscle. Author suggested measuring protocol, got data from group of people, made an application and used this application to analyse measured signals. At the end of this work it was suggested statistical processing and evaluation of results.
The variability of the distribution of pressure forces on the foot with coupling EMG
Semeráková, Nikola ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Koťová, Markéta (advisor)
The bachelor work is focused on the distribution of pressure forces in the area of the foot with support from electromyography. Part of the work deals with the physiology of leg muscles and where the groups of muscles responsible for standing are defined. After that the thesis focuses on postural stability, the foot vault and biomechanical parameters. Additionally, there's the defining of the principles of electromyography and dynamic pavement. Furthermore, the thesis focused on describing how the data is processed, first from elektromyograph and then from dynamic pavement. Finally, there are outcomes from these devices, which are compared and evaluated, there are also partial parameters for electromyography and for the dynamic pavement.
Affect of standing frames on muscle activity of lower extremities
Oravová, Pavlína ; Ronzhina, Marina (referee) ; Kolářová, Jana (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on affect of standing frames on muscle activity of lower extremities. It deals with problematics of electromyography and signal processing. It follows up measuring EMG signal via wireless electrodes Wave Plus on verticalization equipment Balance Trainer and muscles of the lower extremities physiology, which were picked up for practical part of measurement. Part of this thesis is measuring protocol. Futhermore, the captured data is processed by programming interface MATLAB and evaluated in discussion.
Electronics for muscle activity monitoring
Lavička, Jiří ; Vlach, Radek (referee) ; Krejčí, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes the design and compilation of device for monitoring of muscle activity. You can find there a generally introduction of monitoring of this activity. Futheremore it pushes ahead process of plan of electronics and DPS. In final part of this thesis is shown summary of whole device and also there is a example of measurement.
Synchronization and practical use of isokinetic dynamometer with surface electromyography unit
Špaková, Adriána ; Hanák, Petr (referee) ; Šťastný, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with a design proposal for the solution of synchronization of an isokinetic dynamometer with a surface electromyography unit, and subsequently performs the realization of their synchronization. These devices are used as diagnostic and therapeutic medical technique and in practice are standardly used separately. It is expected that by using them simultaneously would be possible to obtain more detailed information about the condition of the examined individual. Synchronized devices can thus be useful, for example, for the analysis of muscle performance of patients with neuromuscular diseases or athletes who want to improve their quality of life after suffering an injury or plan comeback to their favourite activity. After successful synchronization, the work is focused on testing the muscle activity of flexors and extensors of the knee joint of athletes. Measurements were performed on healthy subjects as well as those who had suffered knee injuries in the past. The measured signals were processed, and the measurement results were interpreted. The work includes the elaboration of all the goals based on its assignment, including the main idea of the work, what is the successful synchronization of the isokinetic dynamometer with the surface electromyography unit and their practical use.
Focusation of eyes on characteristic component of visual perception.
Fejgl, Martin ; Kolářová, Jana (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with muscles physiology of eye movement and questions of surface electromyography measurement. Physiology and analysis of eye movement are described here. Furthermore the paper deals with a variety of electrooculographic measuring techniques and also with resulting evaluation of measured signal.
Command Classification from EMG Using Neural Network
Zauška, Ján ; Šůstek, Martin (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This work deals with classification of 15 commands (short words), from small dataset recorded by sEMG electrodes placed on face and neck of speaker. Two types of speech are differentiated in recordings - audible speech, what is classic speech and silent speech, hence speech, in which sound output is suppressed. This work describes EMG signal processing, feature extraction, classifier design and classification results. The convolutional neural network architecture was used as a classifier. There are a lot of experiments in this work that compare the classification accuracy of silent and audible speech.
